Shiba Inu
Shiba Inu is an Ethereum—based cryptocurrency and token created in August 2020 by an anonymous developer under the pseudonym Ryoshi. This token has become popular as a «meme cryptocurrency» inspired by the famous dog breed, and is part of a broader meme culture in the cryptocurrency community.
Shiba Inu is positioned as the «killer of Dogecoin,» another popular meme cryptocurrency, and aims to create a decentralized community. The developers of Shiba Inu have offered some interesting features, including the ability to exchange tokens and create their own decentralized exchange protocol called ShibaSwap.
The Shiba Inu cryptocurrency has attracted a lot of attention from the public and investors, which led to a significant increase in its price in 2021. However, like many other meme tokens, it is worth remembering the high volatility and risks associated with investing in such assets.
Ryoshi’s intention for Shiba inu was to test whether a permanent decentralized organization could operate without central leadership. In mid-2021, Rioshi kept his promise and left, leaving the token entirely in the hands of the community.
The experiment proved successful, and in October 2021, SHIB briefly turned Dogecoin around, becoming the most valuable meme coin by market capitalization. Robin hood CEO Kristin Brown praised the efforts of the Shiba Inu community, saying that one of her favorite activities was watching how the community interacts with the community so that its wishes are heard.
This meme coin quickly gained momentum and value as the investor community was attracted by the cute charm of the coin combined with the headlines and tweets of personalities such as Elon Musk and Vitalik Buterin.
Since its release, SHIB is now traded on the ecosystem’s own DEX exchange, ShibaSwap.
